As election results continue to be reported after Election Day, NAR has already started to chart a course to educate members, homeowners, and potential homebuyers on how to engage and work with newly elected officials. Education and communication are key explains NAR’s SVP of government affairs Shannon McGahn and NAR staff.
Two local associations in California launched “decline to sign” campaigns to prevent rent-control ballot initiatives from garnering the necessary signatures to qualify for the Nov. 6 election. While one succeeded and the other did not, both groups agree that it was well worth the effort.
Bounded by the Great Smoky and Blue Ridge Mountains and a flood plain, sprawl isn’t necessarily an option for the Town of Waynesville, NC; but using a REALTOR® Party Smart Growth Action Grant, the REALTORS® of Haywood County helped to shape the town’s 2020 Comprehensive Land Use Plan by sponsoring a public Visioning Workshop.
