Greater Rochester Association of REALTORSĀ® Produces Video on Local History and Continued Impact of Discriminatory Real Estate Practices.
Working with the Antiracist Curriculum Project, the local REALTORĀ® association created a 20-minute video to raise awareness of redlining and racist covenants in Rochester, New York, and how the effects of these discriminatory practices perpetuate inequity to this day. A Fair Housing Grant from the REALTORĀ® Party supported the production.
First-Time Homebuyers Savings Legislation Passes in Michigan, with a Boost from Michigan REALTORSĀ® and the REALTORĀ® Party
It took some patience ā and a change of governor ā but Michigan REALTORSĀ® is finally seeing its advocacy efforts pay off with the recent passage of legislation to assist first-time homebuyers, who can now prepare for the purchase with two new long-term savings features: tax-free savings accounts and income tax deductions on down payment savings.

Texas REALTORSĀ® Tackle Texas-Sized Property-Tax Information Campaign, Educating Consumers and Encouraging Advocacy
Texas REALTORSĀ® has been working to reform the stateās historically complicated property tax system for decades, but once the Texas Property Tax Reform and Transparency Act was passed in 2019, someone needed to inform and educate the public about the changes. The REALTORSĀ® were ready, and a pair of Consumer Advocacy Grants from the REALTORĀ® Party helped them do the job.
Haywood REALTORSĀ® Supports Smart Growth and Affordable Housing in Waynesville, NC
Bounded by the Great Smoky Mountains, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and a flood plain, sprawl isnāt necessarily an option for the Town of Waynesville, North Carolina; but using a REALTORĀ® Party Smart Growth Action Grant, the REALTORSĀ® of Haywood County helped to inform its 2020 Comprehensive Land Use Plan by sponsoring a public Visioning Workshop.

Thanks to the REALTORĀ® Partyās Advocacy Everywhere program, the District of Columbia Association of REALTORSĀ® was able to spur members to contact City Council members about two important issues affecting property owners in the Nationās Capital. Bronx-Manhattan North Association of REALTORSĀ® Uses Placemaking to Spur Pride and Positive Engagement
What started as two people talking about how to spend $2,200 to improve the atmosphere of a bleak urban space, resulted in a vibrant public arts project that is now valued at $50,000, attracted a visit from a Supreme Court Justice, and, most importantly, has spurred pride and positive engagement in its neighborhood.
