Idaho REALTORS® Welcomes Residents with New Guidebook on Rural Issues
Working with multiple stakeholders, Idaho REALTORS® developed a guidebook to inform property buyers about key issues related to stewardship of the state’s natural resources, such as maintaining water and septic systems, and the risks of invasive species. Grants from the REALTOR® Party supported the design and the first print run; the guide is also available as a pdf.

Oregon REALTORS® Host Annual Fair Housing Summit
Building on the success of its first Fair Housing Summit, which featured Richard Rothstein’s groundbreaking book, The Color of Law, Oregon REALTORS®’ second annual summit provided a deep dive into the history of fair housing and housing access in Oregon, how fair housing impacts business, and supporting fair housing in the community. The keynote address was again by Richard Rothstein, this time joined by his daughter, Leah Rothstein, in discussing their new book, Just Action: How to Challenge Segregation Enacted Under the Color of Law.

West Georgia Board of REALTORS® Leads Aspiring Buyers on the Path to Homeownership with Engaging Info-Packed Course
With support from a Housing Opportunity Grant, the West Georgia Board of REALTORS® partnered with a local HUD-certified housing counseling agency to offer a ‘Pathways to Homeownership’ course for first-time buyers. Addressing essential aspects of the home-buying process – including obstacles to homeownership – the program was so well received that the REALTORS® are making it an annual event.
Taking the Lead in Housing Affordability
NAR hosted its second successful Policy Forum at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Focused on one our top strategic priorities – housing affordability, this event was another step in our efforts to collaborate with a broad coalition of organizations, including multicultural real estate groups, lenders, builders, economists, and law and policy makers, to amplify our advocacy voice and discuss was to positively impact and broaden housing opportunities.
