North Carolina REALTORS®’ Smart Moves Changes the Game
Instead of each local association individual advocacy and consumer outreach plans, North Carolina REALTORS®, the state association, used a Game Changer Grant to create a strong single program called “NC REALTORS®: The Smart Move” to promote public understanding of the value of using a REALTOR®, and to position REALTORS® as the premier real estate advocacy resource and a key community partner.

A progression of Smart Growth Grants from the REALTOR® Party has been helping the Adirondack /Champlain Valley REALTORS® bring the sustainable development concept to the upstate New York region. The REALTOR® Association Mobile Processor (RAMP) is a mobile-based fundraising tool and application specifically designed for RPAC fundraising. The RAMP application is set up on a mobile phone or tablet, allowing staff to collect RPAC investments and for the investment information to be stored in the REALTOR® PAC Management System for compliance purposes seamlessly. East Central South Dakota REALTORS® Make Smart Moves for Future Growth
The East Central South Dakota REALTORS® (ECSDR) can tell you, the immense growth that Brookings, SD, is enjoying is tempered by a housing crisis and heightened by issues ranging from geological obstacles to student demand to millennial preferences. With the help of a Smart Growth Action Grant, the board brought in a planning expert to help guide the community in governing its own growth with a wise eye to the future.
Greater Piedmont REALTORS® Contribute Polling Resources to County Planning Efforts
Working with the Planning Department of the largest county in its Northern Virginia operating area, Greater Piedmont REALTORS® commissioned a State and Local Growth poll from the REALTOR® Party that helped to quantify local attitudes toward housing growth. The resulting data will help decision-makers in their long-term planning, and the project strengthened the REALTORS®’ role as community partners.
Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS® (NC) Champion Fair Housing at Blue Ridge Pride Festival
In Asheville, North Carolina, the Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS® partnered with the Blue Ridge Pride festival to educate the public about fair housing issues, including protections for sexual orientation and gender identity in rental and purchasing situations. Its colorful booth attracted a steady stream of visitors who received swag, treats, and most importantly, information.
