Since 2020, NAR has compiled resources surrounding real estate issues impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. These resources track a variety of policy issues that began to arise as state and local governments issued Shelter in Place and Emergency Declarations including pandemic unemployment assistance, remote online notarization, state government budget overviews, tax deadline changes, legislative session changes and protocols, rent and mortgage relief programs, and eviction moratorium tracking. In addition to providing a landing page on current state and local orders related to the coronavirus pandemic, NAR produces a bimonthly report entitled the Real Estate Industry Impact Watch Report which is released every other Thursday that provides legislative tracking on eviction moratoriums, fair housing, foreclosure, landlord and tenant (including short-term rentals), licensure (including changes to pre-licensing, post-licensing and continuing education and examination procedures and requirements) and notarization.
