Newly hired Association Executives (AEs), Government Affairs Directors (GADs), and those hired to promote and manage REALTOR® Party activities are invited to attend this orientation.

The orientation will offer an in-depth opportunity to learn about:

  • REALTOR® Party tools and services for associations to champion their advocacy, outreach, and community issues;
  • How RPAC grants and tools can help increase investments;
  • How the NAR Policy and Lobbying teams work with associations to promote the REALTOR® federal agenda, and available tools to educate REALTORS® on the important issues facing their business;
  • Valuable NAR economic research tools and products available for you; and
  • Ways to help you effectively communicate with your members about the REALTOR® Party and the value your association provides them.

In Person Training

This live 1.5-day orientation will be held in NAR’s DC office. Advanced registration is required to attend the in-person training. This in-person orientation will cap at 30 registrants.

Facilitators: In-person training will be facilitated NAR staff experts.

Materials: Session materials will be provided to course participants. All presentations will be made available after the program.

Expenses: NAR will cover most of the expenses for this orientation, although associations will bear some minimal costs.

NAR pays for or provides:

  • Economy travel expenses to and from Washington, D.C.
  • Two-night hotel accommodations.
  • Most meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Thursday; breakfast and lunch on Friday).
  • Ground transportation to/from airport to hotel.

Local association pays for:

  • Parking at and/or transportation to/from your local airport
  • Meals on Wednesday/Friday evening
  • Other miscellaneous expenses

Air Travel

NAR’s D.C. office is serviced by both Washington Reagan (DCA) and Dulles International (IAD) Airports.

Ground Transportation

Both IAD and DCA are served by Metro but require transfers. Click here to view the map and check for stop closures. Taxis and other rideshare vehicles also pick up/drop off at designated areas at both airports.

You must contact Jami Sims prior to the event if you intend to drive your personal vehicle to D.C. to confirm eligibility for reimbursement.

Hotel

NAR will make hotel reservations at a nearby hotel for all attendees for two (2) nights.
