Government Affairs Directors (GAD) Institute 
The GAD Institute is an annual event that promotes the education, networking and professional development of state and local REALTOR® Association government affairs directors. The Institute provides a forum for GADs to hear from nationally recognized speakers and other GADs on a variety of topics of interest to government affairs professionals. Learn more.

New AE/GAD Orientation
Newly hired Association Executives, Government Affairs Directors (GADs) and those hired to promote and manage REALTOR® Party activities (less than 18 months in their positions),  are invited to attend a day-and-a-half orientation at the NAR offices in Washington, D.C. Learn more.

  • GAD Vice Chair Statement of Interest due April 30.
    • Statements must include your AEs signature and be emailed to Jami Sims by the deadline.
    • Reminder: The Vice-Chair position alternates between State and Local GADs per the policies and procedures. This year, only Local GADs are eligible to apply.
    • The election for Vice Chair takes place at the upcoming GAD Institute.

If you are a new Government Affairs Director or serve in a similar role, or a REALTOR® Party programmatic role, please visit the GAD Directory to on board your new staff person. He/she will receive a new GAD welcome email, will be added to GAD communications and will receive information about registering for the next REALTOR® Party Advocacy Orientation for New GADs and AEs.
