In a county characterized by its abundance of beautiful farmland, growth and development need to be approached from a preservation angle. The Lebanon County Association of REALTORS®, in Pennsylvania, brought together the managers of its top growing municipalities to open lines of communication and make sure everyone was on the same page.
With a Rural Outreach Grant from the REALTOR Party, the Indiana Association of REALTORS® partnered with a coalition that mapped the internet capabilities of rural residents through targeted internet speed tests, revealing an 11% statewide deficiency in service. Thanks to the survey, as federal infrastructure funds are disbursed by the state, service providers will know exactly where high-speed broadband is needed.
In Utah, as in many western states, water rights are highly complex, and conducting transactions without a complete awareness of their ins-and-outs is highly risky, both for agents and their clients. Last year, the Iron County Board of REALTORS® used a Rural Outreach Grant to offer a three-hour course online, providing REALTORS® and affiliates throughout the state with manuals, forms, and three continuing education credits at no cost.
