Collection and Forwarding Contributions – Time Limits
Associations are required by federal campaign finance law to forward member contributions, along with the appropriate recordkeeping information, to their State RPAC and subsequently to National RPAC within specific timeframes.
These deadlines are mandated by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and are not discretionary.
- Contributions of $50 or less must be forwarded within 30 days.
- Contributions exceeding $50 must be forwarded within 10 days.
The applicable time limit begins on the date the association or its representative receives the contribution.
Failure to forward a contribution within the required timeframe renders the contribution impermissible and it must be returned to the contributor. In such cases, the association must request that the contributor submit a new contribution.
Best Practice: To ensure compliance, associations are encouraged to implement a weekly contribution forwarding process.

Major Investor Pin Updates – Inventory & Reorder
We are running low on certain categories of Major Investor pins. A reorder has been placed and is expected to arrive around July 2026.
States and members currently awaiting pins have been notified — updated lists will be shared as they become available
This is our first full year with our new pin vendor; we are actively monitoring inventory levels and expect a smoother process next year.
Thank you for your patience as we work through this transition.
Pin Preference Survey — Launching July 6, 2026
We will soon email Major Investors a brief survey asking them to select their preferred pin style. This will help us better forecast inventory each year, order the right quantities upfront, and avoid running low on certain styles because members received pins they do not prefer. Please watch for that email in early July.
Thank You Calls — Retention Program
The three national RPAC committees and councils are conducting monthly thank you calls to new and renewed RPAC investors.
Calls are made after the investment is received — no pressure, just recognition from national leadership
Purpose: reinforce the member-relationship and drive retention
Why it matters: Investors who receive a personal thank-you call renew at significantly higher rates than those who don’t. The call isn’t about the money — it’s about making the investor feel known, not just processed. That distinction is what drives retention. The ask gets investors in. The relationship keeps them.
Can we say thank you enough? No. Recognition is the glue that holds the investor community together — and a personal call is one of the highest-ROI retention tools available. It costs nothing but time.

Applications will be accepted through October 15, 2026, or until all remaining funds have been committed. Associations are encouraged to apply early and connect with the CDA team to discuss initiative ideas and eligibility.

Consumer Advocacy Grants Funding Update
The Consumer Advocacy Grant received an additional $275,000 in funding this year, thanks to the Finance Committee’s support.
This added investment will help the program reach more communities and build on success stories like Incline Village REALTORS®, which used grant funding to help break down barriers to first-time homeownership

From the Chair
Hi GAD Nation,
First, thank you to everyone who helped make REALTORS® Legislative Meetings such a success. Whether you were leading Hill visits, meeting with lawmakers, coordinating schedules, briefing members, or simply keeping everything moving behind the scenes, your work made a difference. RLM is always a reminder of the impact GADs have when we bring our policy expertise and advocacy efforts together.
Now, as we transition from RLM into GAD Institute, we have an opportunity to regroup, compare notes, and prepare for the second half of what has already been a busy year. GAD Institute has always been one of my favorite events because it is one of the few spaces designed specifically for the unique blend of policy, politics, and chaos management that defines the GAD profession.
This year’s program offers plenty to bring back home. We’ll hear from David Wasserman as he provides an update on the political landscape heading into the election cycle. We’ll dive into one of the most pressing issues facing many of our associations through the insurance panel with interactive discussion. We’ll also explore emerging policy challenges surrounding data centers and hear from local keynote speaker Tony Celebrezze as he shares insights into the history, present, and future of land use and development in the Columbus region.
Most importantly, the Institute is about the GAD community. It’s a chance to reconnect with colleagues who understand the challenges and opportunities of this work, share ideas, experiences, and, as always, borrow ideas from one another. Some of the best solutions we bring back to our associations happen here.
I hope to see you all in Columbus. If you have not registered yet, now is the time. I look forward to continuing the conversation and learning alongside all of you.
