Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) Responsibilities
A Federal Political Coordinator’s most valuable contribution to NAR is the relationship they develop with their Member of Congress. In addition to regular contact with the assigned Member of Congress, there are several specific tasks which are required to fulfill the role of FPC:

Take Ownership of Flood Insurance, Protect Homeowners
After nearly a year, we continue to see recovery and rebuilding efforts in Gulf Coast states, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands resulting from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. This year, we’ve already seen flooding along the Mississippi River and in Ellicott City, Md. As we continue to support these communities as they rebuild, we are reminded of the importance of the National Flood Insurance Program. No Rest for REALTORS® This August
It’s August, and in the Nation’s Capital, that means it’s time for Congress to take its traditional “summer recess.” The concept of recess is foreign to us as REALTORS®. We rarely take a break — not from our businesses and not from our advocacy work. Summer recess represents an important opportunity for REALTORS® to learn about important issues and directly engage with Members of Congress.
