Chair’s Letter

The Best Week of The Year

It’s the best week of the year for GAD Nation! A long time in the making, the 2025 GAD Institute is finally here. This year is a landmark, too – Did you know that this is the 40th anniversary of the GAD Institute?

To maximize your experience, I encourage you to download the GAD Institute app … just search GAD 2024 in the App Store or Google Play Store. Once you install the app, you’ll (of course) see the full schedule … but we’ll also have speaker information, a list of attendees (update your picture), and a lot more.

For first-time attendees, don’t miss the New GAD Orientation (it’s not the same program as we run in DC). For more seasoned GADs, please help our newer folks get the most out of the institute by being inclusive and welcoming! And for all attendees, PLEASE help us smash our goal for GADs Give Back by giving whatever you can.

A lot goes into planning the GAD Institute and this quick-hit newsletter is insufficient to properly thank the overwhelming list of people who have their hands on this event.

But before I sign off on my final letter as your chair, I must acknowledge the NAR staff, starting with Jami, Jon, and the event planners. Thank you for the support.

To GAD AG – thank you for always showing up prepared, bringing your ideas, and your often unfiltered feedback! You’ve done great work and I can’t wait to see it all come to fruition!

Finally, to my dear friend and vice chair Lacey Everett. I’ll have more to say in Washington, but you have been my pillar of sanity this year, and I can’t thank you enough for all the support, wisdom, and perspective.

It’s been a privilege to be your chair. Spokane or BUST!
