NAR Accelerates Efforts to Elect REALTOR® Party Champions
We’re 27 days out from Election Day.
372 RPAC-supported federal candidates advanced from their primaries to the general election. We engaged in 57 Opportunity Races throughout the primary season, with a 93% success rate.
Now, as the general election approaches, we’re redoubling our efforts to elect federal champions. We’re taking 97 Opportunity Races live before Election Day, with nearly 50/50 support for Democrats (48) and Republicans (49).
On the state and local level, our State and Local Independent Expenditures Program has supported more than 400 REALTOR® Party champions this year, and as of last month, every state and D.C. has now participated in the program over its lifetime.
Last month, NAR was proud to partner with National Voter Registration Day. Over 93% of REALTORS® are registered to vote — let’s get to 100%. Check your voter registration status to ensure you can vote for REALTOR® Party champions and policies to protect property ownership.
National Flood Insurance Program Lapse Averted
Though concerns arose in September about a potential government shutdown, Congress passed a funding package on September 25 that also extended the National Flood Insurance Program’s (NFIP) authority to provide flood insurance through December 20.
NAR urged congressional leaders to ensure an on-time NFIP extension. We will continue to stress the need for stability and predictability in this essential program.
