This year, NAR was involved in 13 federal and 252 state and local independent expenditure campaigns and 25 issue campaigns with 53 REALTOR® candidates running for state and local offices. Two local associations in California launched “decline to sign” campaigns to prevent rent-control ballot initiatives from garnering the necessary signatures to qualify for the Nov. 6 election. While one succeeded and the other did not, both groups agree that it was well worth the effort.
