Your association is qualified to receive up to $60,000 for advocacy activities and initiatives that meet criteria of Community Outreach programs:

Housing Opportunity Grant: Supports activities that create or improve systems, programs, and policies that expand access to housing that is affordable.

Fair Housing Grant: Supports fair housing education and collaborative projects with public and private community leaders that will further the fair housing mission.

Smart Growth Grant: Supports activities that affect your community’s land use and/or transportation design in a manner that encourages development aligned with one or more of the 10 Smart Growth Principles.

Placemaking Grant: Supports collaboration with the public sector and community partners to create new outdoor community amenities such as community gardens, dog parks, trailheads, and pocket parks.

Rural Grant – Supports state and local REALTOR® Associations’ activities on a wide range of issues confronting rural communities.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • By August 30, 2025: all applications must be approved by this date. Any funds not approved will no longer be available.
  • By December 19, 2025: Grant funds are paid out on a reimbursement basis. Acceptable forms of documentation of grant activity expenses are: invoices, receipts, contracts signed by both parties, cancelled checks showing both sides with adequate description in the memo field.

Fundamentals of Successful Community Outreach Comprehensive Approach Strategy:

  • Plan a variety of community outreach advocacy activities and initiatives.
  • Include public, private and nonprofit partners in the execution of each activity.
  • Provide strong member involvement in the activity.
  • Tie Community Outreach activities to your advocacy efforts.
  • Ensure that activities are conducted in accordance with NAR’s Territorial Jurisdiction policy.
