District of Columbia Association of REALTORS® Helps Protect Rental Residents and On-Site Personnel from Reckless Tenants

During the public health emergency, as reports rose of certain tenants posing serious health and safety threats in rental properties across the nation’s capital, the local REALTOR® association championed a Public Safety Exception to the city’s strict Eviction Moratorium. A timely Call For Action connected members directly to the Housing Committee of the City Council.

Greater Rochester Association of REALTORS® Produces Video on Local History and Continued Impact of Discriminatory Real Estate Practices.

Working with the Antiracist Curriculum Project, the local REALTOR® association created a 20-minute video to raise awareness of redlining and racist covenants in Rochester, New York, and how the effects of these discriminatory practices perpetuate inequity to this day. A Fair Housing Grant from the REALTOR® Party supported the production.

Hundreds of REALTORS® kicked off December in St. Louis at the REALTOR® Party Training Conference, preparing to advocate for property ownership on behalf of clients and communities in 2024. Speakers included former Missouri Senators Roy Blunt and Claire McCaskill, St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones, and former HUD Deputy Secretary Pamela Patenaude, who all echoed the REALTOR® Party’s focus on bipartisanship in putting the American Dream in reach for more people.
