Southeast Alaska Board of REALTORSĀ® Mobilizes to Overturn Mandatory Disclosure of Sales Price
Supported by polling and an Issues Mobilization Grant from the REALTORĀ® Party, the Southeast Alaska Board of REALTORSĀ® pushed back against a 2020 Juneau ordinance that required the public disclosure of real estate sales prices, including financing and other deeds of sale. It was the thin end of the wedge, they believed, leading to transfer taxes on real estate.

As the City of Midland, Michigan prepared its Comprehensive Plan, it commissioned an economic productivity analysis from Urban3, an innovative land-use consulting firm. The results gave them a clear road map for the kind of development that will bring the most value ā including much-needed housing and tax revenue. A Smart Growth Grant from the REALTORĀ® Party supported the study.
Land Use Initiative Helps Bakersfield Association of REALTORSĀ® Defeat Cityās Draft Climate Action Plan that Threatened to Worsen the Housing Crisis
The local REALTORSĀ® saw that the draft Climate Action Plan developed by the City of Bakersfield would make real estate transactions more costly and would violate private property rights. With a coalition of concerned partners, they resisted its adoption. A Land Use Initiative review by Robinson & Cole provided the critical analysis they needed to convince the City Council to re-think the plan.
