NAR Thanks President Biden for Addressing Housing Supply in State of the Union
On Thursday night, President Joe Biden announced a number of housing initiatives in the State of the Union address (SOTU), calling for a $10,000 tax credit for both first-time homebuyers and people who sell their starter homes; the construction and renovation of more than 2 million additional homes, lower closing costs and cost reductions for renters.
Pacific Southwest Association Contributes to Award-Winning Handbook for City of San Diego
A Smart Growth Grant from the REALTORĀ® Party helped the Pacific Southwest Association of REALTORSĀ® take part in creating a Companion Unit Handbook explaining the nuts and bolts of Accessory Dwelling Units. The one-stop resource for homeowners has earned kudos from the mayor and the Urban Design Award from the San Diego Section of the American Planning Association.

A new phone-based referral network for the Richmond region connects residents with services ranging from foreclosure prevention and elderly tax relief to stable rental housing and first-time mortgage providers. A Housing Opportunity Grant is supporting the program ā and leveraging further funding from local foundations and jurisdictions.
